Leslie Rance, Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs

Leslie Rance was appointed Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs (CORA) on 1 January 2012.

He joined British American Tobacco South Africa in 2003 and has held various roles incuding Head of Business Information Technology (IT). Leslie went on to lead the IT Function for the Africa Middle East region, based in the UK. He gained multi-market supply chain exposure, coordinating a key regional project. Leslie was subsequently appointed to a newly created role, General Manager for the East African markets in 2009, which he held until 2011.

Leslie brings a breadth of international business experience to his current role. Prior to joining the company, he held several IT management roles in the global mining resources group, Anglo American, across their operations in Zimbabwe, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

He is passionate about Africa's development and is engaged as a Fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Leslie is married with two sons.
